Harry | Vintage Wingtip Brogues is built the slow way — on a Goodyear welt, with full-grain leather and a 200-step construction most brands abandoned decades ago to cut costs. What makes them different
The Goodyear Welt
A leather welt is stitched around the entire shoe, locking the upper, insole and outsole together. It’s slower and costlier to build — and it’s the only construction that lets a cobbler swap a worn sole for a fresh one, again and again.
Full-Grain Leather
We use only the top layer of the hide, with its natural grain intact. It resists scuffs, breathes through long days, and deepens into a patina no two pairs share. Condition it now and then and it outlives everything around it.
